Hey Ghislain--
Sorry I never got back to you on these Qs:
>1. Wound modifiers
> Do they apply to the Initiative Test, or only to the Initiative Score.
> For instance, let's take a PC with Initiative 9 and a -2 wound modifier. Does he
> - roll 9 dice and gets an Initiative Score of 9 + hits -2 or
> - roll 7 dice (9 - 2) and gets an Initiative Score of 9 + hits -2?
> The confusion comes from the fact that wound modifiers apply to any dice pool except for Damage Resistance Tests, and that a dice pool is defined as the combination Skill + Attribute + modifiers or Attribute + Attribute + modifiers, and that Initiative can be viewed either
> - as an attribute (making the Initiative Test not use a dice pool, therefore not subject to wound modifiers), or
> - as a derived attribute equal to reaction + Intuition, making the Initiative Test a standard dice pool test, therefore subject to wound modifiers.
For damage already take, it applies to the Initiative Test. For damage that is taken during a Combat Turn, it affects the Initiative Score already rolled.
> 2. Mentor Spirits availability
> p. 79, SR4, Mentor Spirit quality is only available to characters with either the Magician or Mystic Adept quality.
> p. 192, SR4, Mentor Spirit quality can be taken by any Awakened character.
> -> Can characters with the Adept quality take the Mentor Spirit quality?
Yes, we put this in the corrections for the next printing.

Cela dit, j'ai noté l'adresse précédente, ça pourra me servir un jour :p

Fuchs - Could you provide an example of how interrupts work, if you can stack them, and how many future actions you can borrow, as taken
from this thread? Basically, can a martial artist keep borrowing future actions ad infinitum with counter attack and similar moves,
and what happens if the combat ends and the martial artist is still about 36 actions in the red, does he have to stand still and do
nothing for 2 minutes?
Bobby Derie - A character only has a certain amount of actions per Combat Turn; using an action as an interrupt - for Full Defense - takes up one of those actions. If a character has used up all of the actions they have available during a Combat Turn, they cannot "borrow" ahead to the next Combat Turn.
Leofski - Further to Bobby Derie's response to the action borrowing issue, does this mean a 1IP character cannot use finishing move?
Bobby Derie - For such a character to use a Finishing Move, they would have to spend Edge and get an extra Initiative Pass. Obviously, this has to be decided ahead of time since you can't spend Edge this way in the middle of an Initiative Pass!
Casazil - The mentor spirit quality says a character is provided with certain advantages and disadvantages. Does the advantage for casting spells apply to casting drain as well?
Peter Taylor - No. The mentor spirit modifier applies to spellcasting alone.
Gh0st - A little point of rules : Does a Sakura Fubuki need four silencers (This would be logic, but more espensive...)
Peter Taylor - No, just a very big one... Seriously though, the Sakura Fubuki should have its own specialized silencing systme which is not interchangeable with other weapons. For ease of play I'd suggest leaving the cost as is, but if the GM prefers a higher cost I suggest he double the standard price.
Mountaincarver - Lately I've been running SR4, one of my players is an Adept wheelman, so he has 3 IPs. It's a little unclear in the core rules, but should he be able to dedicate his 3 IPs sole to driving his car, or is it like in previous editions where he can only use one Complex Action per Combat Turn, since he's not using Matrix Initiative?
Peter Taylor - He must spend one complex action per turn piloting the Vehicle or risk crashing. He's free to do what he pleases with his remaining actions that Combat Turn.
Prime_Mover - Also was wondering if could get any better clarification on how walk/run speeds work for vehicles.
Peter Taylor - Acceleration offers walk and run speeds for vehicles in ground Tactical Combat for easy comparison with character movement.
What probably isn't as clear as it should be is that both Acceleration ratings can be cumulative and keep increasing until the vehicle's Speed Rating is reached.
Celle-ci me laisse perplexe :
Tycho - litte rulequestion: Is it right, that I get a Damage Resistence Test (without Armor), if I get hit by a direct combat spell and fail the Spell Resistence Test?
Bobby Derie - Yes, that is correct.
