Das Organisationsteam freut sich über 38.988 Bilder von deutschen Bau- und Kulturdenkmalen, die in diesem Jahr hochgeladen wurden, und möchte sich ganz herzlich bei Dir für deinen Beitrag zum weltweit größten, von Ehrenamtlichen organisierten, Fotowettbewerb bedanken!

Du hast noch bis zum 18. Oktober die Gelegenheit Wettbewerbsbeiträge anderer Fotografen im Rahmen der Vorjury zu bewerten. Wir würden uns freuen, wenn Du dich daran beteiligst und mithilfst die besten Bilder des diesjährigen Wettbewerbs auszuwählen. Alle Informationen zur Vorjury findest Du hier.

An dieser Stelle sei noch auf die Preisverleihung von Wiki Loves Monuments 2016 in Deutschland hingewiesen: Diese findet am 25. Was für ein Bohei

Hallo Wilhelm,

erst heute schau ich mal wieder auf Deiner Diskussionsseite nach. Hübsch gefüllt, und vermutlich schlecht gefühlt.

Zu den einzelnen Punkten/Files

1. Bilder von der Hammermühle: Du hast ja schon vorgeschlagen, die Geokoordinaten zu entfernen. Braucht Commons diese Bilder? Ach herje, wir haben Millionen schlechtere.
2. Weiterleitungen wie [1] sind ok
3. Kategorien wie Category:Berg-Ahorn (Acer pseudoplatanus) in Ruhland lehne ich ab. Kategorien sollen dienen. Wem dient diese Kategorie?

Hallo Hystrix,

so wahnsinnig schlecht fühl ich mich gar nicht, betr. englisch lag ich falsch und das wird abgearbeitet, über die Kälfte habe ich, wenn ich fertig bin gebe ich Signal zum Aufräumen.

Nachtrag: hab gerade den Fortschritt auch hier sichtbar gemacht und etwas aufgeräumt.

Regel ist Regel, da will ich mich schon dran halten, auch wenn es ungünstige Auswirkungen hier hat. Dafür muss ich später Lösungen suchen, von denen ich hoffe, dass eine geht.

Natürlich hätte ich jetzt lieber Fotos hochgeladen (und je weiter die Zeit weg ist, ist u.U. die Verortung schwieriger, ohne die z.B. keine Karten erstellt werden können). Aber da muss ich durch und fühle mich auch nicht angegriffen.

• • Hammermühle: Das sind die einzigen Bilder vom alten “Fabrikgebäude” der Mühle. Die besseren Bilder (Fotothek) zeigen das nicht. Nach dem Brand um 1900 ist die prinzliche Hammermühle nicht mehr aufgebaut worden, die Reste werden sicher abgerissen wenn der (oder ein) Besitzer genug Geld hat. Also da bin ich für behalten. Ich würde die Bilder auch durch bessere ersetzen, wenn der Besitzer mal für mich aufräumt (dazu hat er jetzt keine Zeit) und mich auf den Hof lässt (mit Fotoerlaubnis, lohnt nicht ohne aufräumen). Also führe ich die Änderungen aus und warte, dass jemand dann die LAe entfernt. Bisher hatte ich dazu keine Äußerung aus der Community.
• Weiterleitungen: freut mich

In dem Zusammenhang hatte ich hier um Hilfe bei der Frage gebeten, wie ich möglichen örtlichen Fotografen die richtige Kat. aufzeigen kann. Hast Du da einen Hinweis, ob eine Galerie mit Wiki-Tabelle geht (der Part <gallery></gallery>) wäre dabei nur kurze Einleitung)? Ich will jetzt nicht irgendwo eine große Disk dazu beginnen, vielleicht später einen Technischen Wunsch; ich will die Tabelle aber auch nicht anfangen, wenn sie sowiso einen LA bekommt. Nachtrag: Möglicherweise geht das ja auch als eine spezielle Art Hilfe-Datei durch.

• • Lokale species-Cat.s: einerseits erwähneswerte Erscheinungen vor Ort, andererseits Vorkommen und Verbreitung der Art selbst. Mitunter kann auch eine Art erst bestimmt werden, wenn die Entwicklung eine Individuums verfolgt wird (Larven, Schleimpilze, Fingerkräuter, allgemein blühende Pflanzen). Und es gibt ein besonderes Gebiet, das mal unter Naturschutz gestellt werden soll(te). Diese species-Cat.s will ich über die entsprechenden Orts-Kat.en in die Länder-Kat.en oder die Art-Kat. verlinken. Verbreitungskarten gehen nur mit diesen Kat.en Ich hoffe, damit kannst Du (und die Community) leben.

Guten Abend Wilhelm,

heute Morgen war ich in Eile und hatte mich noch nicht in allen Punkten eingelesen.

Ergänzungen zu den einzelnen Punkten:

Zu 1.: Ich hatte vorher nicht gelesen, dass es Fotos von einem historischen Gebäude sind (prinzliche Hammermühle). Ganz klar – behalten. Und die Geokoordinaten müssen auch nicht entfernt werden.

Zu 2.: Auch diese Weiterleitung Category:Alte Stadtansichten von Ruhland auf Category:Old sights of Ruhland könnte wiederangelegt werden. Wie definiert man alt/old? Älter als 100 Jahre?

IMHO können Tabellen per Wiki-Syntax in Galerieseiten verwendet werden. Ob es funktioniert, weiß ich nicht, habe es noch nicht probiert. Evtl. kannst Du auch vorher im COM:FORUM nachfragen.

Zu 3.: Du hattest in der oben verlinkten Disk. den Blaustern erwähnt und auch eine Kategorie angelegt. Botanisch gibt es nicht „den“ Blaustern, nur die Gattung „Blausterne“, Scilla mit mehreren Arten. Und Scilla sibirica hat mindestens drei verschiedene deutsche Namen (laut WP): Sibirischer Blaustern, Nickende Sternhyazinthe und Sibirische Sternhyazinthe. Letztere Kritik hätte ich Dir lieber per Mail geschickt. Meine Mail-Adresse findest Du.

Hallo Hystrix,

ich wollte das mit den Geokoordinaten und Adressangaben als Entgegenkommen totzdem machen - für 3 Jahre, um den Bewerbungen nicht entgegen zu stehen. Dann (denke ich) werden die Löschwünsche enden, und ich könnte darüber hinaus auch einige der Bilder durch bessere ersetzen.

Die eine Weiterleitung ist durch einen Bearbeitungsfehler verloren gegangen. Wenn das ganze umbenennen durch ist und ich an die Tabelle (danke für den Hinweis) gehe, wollte ich sie herstellen. “alt” ist natürlich unscharf, jedenfalls über 70 Jahre, möglichst über 100.

Das ist schon in Ordnung. Landläufig kennen “hier” die meisten Leute Scilla siberica als “Blaustern”, einige kennen noch Spanischen Blaustern (den es hier auch verwildert gibt, aber nicht Flächen deckend), und das wars. So war das in der Disk gemeint.

Filenames

The problem is that these have been working URLs for a long time — File:Ruhlander Amtssängertreffen Nr. 18 in Ruhland, der Gemischte Chor Ruhland.jpg, for example, has been a blue link for a year and a half. Imagine that someone discovered these files a year ago and placed a link to them on a different website: deleting these files' old names would break those links now. (If I understand Google Translate rightly, this is what de:Wikipedia:Schnelllöschantrag means when saying ...und keine für einen bestehenden Artikel relevante Versionsgeschichte existiert.) New redirects with mistakes can be deleted, of course, and old redirects with severe problems (imagine "File:I hate Wilhelm Zimmerling PAR.png" or "File:Buy my car today and ring me at (030) 1234-5678.jpg") but ordinary spelling and grammar errors are not offensive, so if they have existed for a significant amount of time, deletion would be unhelpful. Wiki Loves Monuments 2019

Hallo Wilhelm Zimmerling PAR,

bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2019 findet zum neunten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Dabei können Bau- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich ein, dieses Jahr wieder mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!

Es sind viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu fotografieren. Neben beeindruckenden märchenhaften Schlössern, Burgen und Kirchen können auch andere Kulturdenkmale wie Brücken, Industrieruinen, Bauernhöfe oder Parks fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. In den letzten Jahren sind zahlreiche neue Denkmallisten entstanden, die sich über Fotos freuen. Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du auf der Mitmach-Seite.

Du bist interessiert, am Wettbewerb mitzuwirken, dir fehlt aber die richtige Technik? Dann wirf doch mal einen Blick in den Technikpool und das Technikleihportal von Wikimedia Deutschland! Dort findest du Kameras, Objektive und Zubehör verschiedenster Art. Sollte noch Technik fehlen, die aber in Zukunft unbedingt benötigt wird, dann freut sich Wikimedia Deutschland über dein Feedback zum Technikpool.

Außerdem laden wir Dich ein, ab Mitte September 2019 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Diese bewertet die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelt so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im Oktober tagt, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Monuments 2019 in Deutschland. Das Vorjurytool ist hier bald freigeschaltet. Du benötigst dafür nur deinen Benutzernamen und das Passwort.

Sorry @A.Savin: if my English is not ever so good. - What do you think about my file desc. edit ? And why is your name better then the new name ?

If I asked you prior, what was your answer then ? I attach importance to find the terms „Rosxengarten“ and „Teschendorff-Garten“ in the file name, in this case (not only „Forst“ and date)

I propose - if there is a further case - that after such an complement of file description You seek the better name after I've asked you. Is that o.k. for you ?

A file should only be renamed against the wish of its uploader, if the name is either completely meaningless (IMG4953.JPG) or obviously wrong/misleading or otherwise inappropriate (e.g. offensive). None is the case here. The series I uploaded is named "ForstLausitz 09-2016 photoXX" and if you rename only one or two, you break this naming scheme. Besides, the file name is by far not as important as the description, categories, and geolocation; so any rename unless it is done to fix an obvious error or obviously inappropriate content is actually nothing but waste of time.

Hallo @A.Savin:, this is a formally strong, but really weak position (I think, you now tat). But I need no war - I will not copy the arguments to the file disk to avoid (increase of) personal animosity. Be happy with your (really not good) file name. Perhaps you overthink this later if the other files of the series have extended descriptions.

Regarding to double redirect: I had found / seen a kind of circle, may be a local error due to memory cash - sorry for that.

Important message for file movers

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

• To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
• To perform file name swaps.
• When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning.
