Administrator instructions

AutoWikiBrowser

Sorry, please be aware that unregistered users cannot be granted permissions due to technical restrictions. Please create an account in order to request user account permissions.

Shortcuts
Please review the AWB guide before making a request. Users with under 250 non-automated mainspace edits or 500 total mainspace edits are rarely approved. You can check your non-automated contributions on XTools. Administrators are automatically approved and do not need to request access. For bots, please consult the Bot Approvals Group or bureaucrats' noticeboard about adding AWB access.
This page is for requesting AWB Access for English Wikipedia only. Other projects have their own check pages and you should ask administrators there to add you.
If approved, your name will be added to the CheckPage. If you will make many or fast automated edits using AWB, you may wish to use a separate (or bot) account for that purpose; first create the account, give it a userpage declaring it to be your alternate account, then make the request using your main account.

To assist in creating redirects for Unicode codepoints where a redirect for the corresponding character exists and vice versa, along with removing puffery, weasel words, and other words to watch. I'd also most likely use AWB to correct some basic grammar/spelling errors, such as its vs. it's, who vs. whom, to vs. too, and other similar errors. InvalidOStalk 15:40, 5 March 2020 (UTC)

I'd like to request AWB access to use fixing typos, find/replace, adding value for multiple pages. Warm Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 15:16, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
